RHA's Commitment to Training

RHA is proud to have some of the best trained employees in the helping industry.

We place a premium on the importance of staff training because we know that the only way the people we support will reach their goals is if our staff are appropriately trained.

We also know that we must have well trained staff if we are going to uphold our own standards of:

  • Providing high quality, cost effective services
  • Being honest, trustworthy and reliable in all relationships
  • Treating others fairly
  • Being a good citizen in our communities, and
  • Pursuing fiscal responsibility for growth

RHA offers a wide variety of training opportunities for our employees. And our employees are paid to learn. When they can demonstrate new competencies they may be eligible for raises. We think it is that important!

We are proud of our innovative pre-service program that utilizes the latest adult learning practices to make the "before on-the-job" training so much more effective.

One of the other ways we demonstrate the value we place on training is through our investment in training. We spend tens of thousands of dollars annually to make sure we have state-of-the-art content, techniques, and mechanisms to deliver the best training for our employees. We intentionally meet or exceed every state and federal training requirement…and we are proud of it.

We also demonstrate the value we place on training through our on-going relationship with "The Institute", now a division of RHA. The Institute, an international provider of training and consultation, is constantly working to develop new training content and new ways to deliver training that will meet the ever changing needs of both our workforce and the people we support.

Beyond the traditional classroom format and videos, we are now developing a standardized curriculum for all aspects of our training allowing us to continue to develop the best new ways of delivering interactive training, such as self-paced instruction, computer based training, and on-line learning.

Finally, if you are changing careers or just starting yours, RHA is a great school for people who want to learn how to be the best at helping others.

Below is an abbreviated sample of just one of the many training programs RHA employees take part in.  This training has been converted from a PowerPoint training into an Adobe PDF format for viewing.  You will need the Adobe Reader software to view this PDF (available for free from Adobe at http://www.adobe.com).
