Services We Provide

RHA Behavioral Health Services

Upon referral to RHA Behavioral Health Services, an individual, depending on their goals and needs, might participate in one of the following programs:

Diagnostic Assessment

Concerned about possible symptoms of mental illness? Not sure if a loved one has a problem with drug/alcohol? Has the school expressed concern about your child’s behavior and/or progress? These are anxious periods in our lives that we hope to never face. If and when those questions arise, we want the evaluation to be professional, thorough, informative, and discrete. RHA’s Diagnostic Assessment is the cornerstone of the treatment process as it provides the necessary information to make very important decisions.

Eligibility: Suspicion of a mental illness, developmental disability, and/or substance abuse issue is all that is required to make a referral for Diagnostic Assessment. Upon referral, RHA Behavioral Health Services will coordinate the date and time for the assessment and will fully explain the results of the Diagnostic Assessment and recommendations upon completion.

Community Support/Community Support Team

The goal of Community Support services is to empower the individual to realize their strengths, integrate into their communities, and build the confidence to become their own best advocate.

Community Supports consists of intensive community-based mental health and substance abuse rehabilitative services and supports that are delivered in a team approach. Community Support provides a recipient with treatment and restorative interventions to improve quality of living which include but are not limited to the following: improving self-advocacy, increasing coping skills, decreasing use of acute hospitalizations, expanding social supports, improving symptom management, connecting to community resources, building on existing strengths, stabilization of housing, providing medication education, responding to crises, exploring employment opportunities, etc.

Eligibility: Upon referral, RHA will coordinate a Diagnostic Assessment which will identify whether the individual needs advocacy and support coordination, crisis intervention, is at risk for psychiatric hospitalizations, has difficulty in treatment follow-through, residential instability/homelessness, recent incidents of self-harm or threats to harm others, unsuccessful in lower levels of care/service.

Outpatient Therapy

Often, the professional and objective counsel of a therapist is all that is needed to develop a recovery plan that an individual can act upon. Meetings can be scheduled in an office or in the privacy of your own home with a licensed clinician trained in the recovery model.

Eligibility: Upon referral, RHA will coordinate a Diagnostic Assessment which will identify unresolved mental health, substance abuse, or developmental issues and if necessary, may recommend outpatient therapy.

Intensive In-Home Services

A team of licensed and certified professionals who work with the family to implement a structured program designed to prevent out-of-home placement for children/adolescents by focusing on diffusing crisis, linking to community resources, monitoring psychiatric and/ or addiction symptoms, and caregiver training in self help, living skills, and parenting skills.

Eligibility: Upon referral, RHA will coordinate a Diagnostic Assessment which will identify whether the individual has been unsuccessful with less intensive/ restrictive services, has insufficient resources or skills to cope with crisis, requires intensive coordinated clinical and positive behavioral interventions, is at risk for out-of-home placement or currently in an out-of-home placement and reunification is imminent.

Substance Abuse Services

Individuals with SA disorders frequently experience movement through various levels of care (such as detox, residential treatment, halfway house, and outpatient services) and RHA Behavioral Health Services provides the wraparound support, advocacy, and treatment necessary to integrate various treatment methods into a seamless continuum of care. Continuity of Care is critical in recovery and RHA Behavioral Health Services will provide that foundation as your clinical home of service as you meet your short and long-term personal outcomes.

RHA Substance abuse program include education, outreach, assessment, individual and group therapy, and intensive community-based intervention and treatment designed to complex systemic and lifestyle obstacles to recovery. RHA specializes in co-occurring disorders (Mental Health/Substance Abuse and Developmental Disabilities/Substance Abuse) and each team member receives significant training on current best practice treatment methods. Although your clinical support system strives for relapse-free recovery, relapse is sometimes part of the process. If a relapse does occur, RHA continues to offer support throughout the relapse process to ensure the individual does not get “lost” in the system.

Eligibility: Upon referral, RHA will coordinate a Diagnostic Assessment which will identify whether the individual is experiencing substance abuse issues that require professional support.
