Broadway Places in Golf Tourney:
[From RHA Faces - Volume 2]

Imagine yourself competing for an Olympic medal. Chris Broadway did just that, and he won! Everyone who knows Chris is very proud of his accomplishment. He competed at the local level, winning the gold medal, which qualified him to travel to California in September 2004 for the national Special Olympic Golf Tournament. Chris was accompanied on his first commercial airline flight by Theodore Oglesby, a staff member from RHA/Cleveland. A fond memory from the trip was when Chris was joined by a group of passengers in singing a favorite song, “B.I.N.G.O.” Chris' experience was one for which he can be very proud. He competed against 18 others in his division and brought home a silver medal from the nationals. Congratulations, Chris!!

Healing Through Equine Therapy:
[From RHA Faces - Volume 2]

Lynn Livsey is the proud new owner of a horse of her very own. On October 13,2004,Lynn and her housemates visited the Therapeutic Equestrian Farm in Morganton, NC. The farm provides therapy for individuals who are both mentally and physically disabled. The horses and other animals at the farm are believed to be a source for natural healing therapy. Lynn was the farm’s special guest for the day. Lynn’s brother, Bob, presented her with a very special gift, a horse of her very own, named Jocko. She was given a plaque displaying her name as Jocko’s owner. Lynn enjoyed a ride on Jocko while her housemates helped feed, brush, and water the many animals at the farm. Lynn keeps Jocko stabled at the equestrian center so that her horse can help others with disabilities. Lynn and her friends now look forward to return trips to the farm and many more visits with Jocko in the future.
